You gotta give them credit where credit is due, any band that survives and continues to make music from the late 60's through today that still sells albums and sells out arena's deserves some respect.
What say ye?

They have my freaking respect. I have a few JP tunes on my regular mp3 rotation. The songs I like the best are the ones that still rev you up after so many listens. The test of a great band.

I remember watching a JP video on MTV, where they were standing on train tracks, but unfortunately, the train never ran them over.

No taste, and no respect. Ah well, there are alot of people that discard a bands music out of hand because they can't get past the surface, but if you look closely at a band like priest and how they have stood the test of time, the contributions they have made, the pioneering they have done reaches other forms of music and it is proven in the countless musicians and groups big and small who list priest as a major influence.

Pioneers? I think you have JP confused with Louis & Clark, or perhaps Yeager & Armstrong. Or, prog rock artists who were the true visionaries back in the day. No taste, and no respect. Ah well, there are alot of people that discard a bands music out of hand because they can't get past the surface...... Yeah, I'm real shallow that way. Another example of my shallowness is when I go to the beach and see a buch of dead fish floating near the shore, I don't dive in for a better look at that, either. Guess I'm just a bundle of disrespect.

Yeah, sometimes you have to get a little dirty to find the diamond in the rough, or should I say the diamonds through the rust.

Priest are clearly one of the greatest metal bands of all time, and on my list to see whenever they come around.

Yeah, sometimes you have to get a little dirty to find the diamond in the rough, or should I say the diamonds through the rust. Wouldn't that make you rusty instead of dirty?

I don't go out of my way to listen to heavy metal, but I liked Judas Priest's sound the moment I heard it. They were just different from anybody else. That's not explaining much, but there you go.
