Well, the Era of SG-1 is coming to an end with the airing of the Series finale tomorrow, I imagine it will be epic.
Looking back on 10 years for the series, I am saddened to see it go. :::sounds taps:::
On the upside, tomorrow will not be the end of the franchise as Atlantis although will see the end of this season tomorrow night as well, is slated for atleast 2 more seasons. I also imagine that there will be atleast one more offshoot to the franchise before it's all said and done.
A moment of silence please for Stargate SG-1.

Well from my perspective SG-1 is no longer a moving target as far as keeping up. I can just begin buying dvds.

Yep, it's a done deal. On the bright side, in september there will be a release of a DVD titled "Stargate SG-1" I'm guessing it will be a "compilation" type thing.
On the Atlantis front, looks like Dr. Weir is gonna bite it, and Amanda Tapping will be jumping over from SG-1 to lead the Atlantis expedition, not that it needs it, but I'm sure it will give the Franchise a needed boost in fan base.

Well the saying "all good things must come to an end" is coming true once again, Friday's episode commercials proclaimed that there are only 3 episodes left to the series finally.
So sad, I really dig the whole stargate franchise in all it's incarnations.
Fingers crossed that they come out with something to carry on the franchise.

At least the series has a fan in you, CadZombie. Personally, I just never got into it. Maybe if I had liked the original feature film more, I might have tuned into the show. (But then, I loved Cameron's Terminator movies, but can't be bothered to watch the Sarah Connor Chronicles.)
And at least Stargate the series gets the "luxury" of a finale where everybody gets a proper send off. I've been a fan of far too many shows that died with no final farewells and goodbyes.
