I have to admit I haven't been able to afford a ticket yet to see Thor however I've been tracking its box office take and the reviews and frankly it doesn't add up. The reviews for Thor have been generally positive bordering on enthusiastically good. Yet the box office, though very strong over seas, has been a bit dull domestically. To date Thor has taken in over 148 mil. The film cost 150 mil to make however the foreign take is over 200 mil so it's not a loser. I project that Thor will make its budget back with the domestic box office by the end of the week and will probably pull in nearly 10 mil over that during the long holiday weekend. All of that being said I'm not seeing Iron man numbers here. It looks more like Hulk numbers, though Hulk and Incredible Hulk both barely made back their budgets while Thor should finish with between 15 and 20 mil over. But what's wrong exactly? I don't know cause I haven't watched it yet.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Thor. Maybe the people who watch movies like this are just too broke right now to go see it. I wanted to take my kids to it weekend before last, but I've been too poor to do it. I may go tomorrow (today, actually) and see it by myself.

Thor is great. If you don't like how it's doing at the box office, go see it. If it's still out when I have the money, I'll take my kids to see it, preferably in 3-D this time.

Ok. Finally got to see Thor this morning and I can officially state that there is nothing wrong with it. I enjoyed it very much. I can't wait to buy the blueray as soon as it's released.
