www.mania.com/54245.htmlThe more I read about this the more I wanna see it. Don't really know why. The last thing I want is to watch and Indiana Jones film and be crushed by something ill concieved but there is no telling what these guys have come up with until we see the film. From what Lucas says in this interview is seems they know what they have and more importantly know what they are doing. I'm crossing my fingers, toes and other things for good luck.

Lucas Speaks, and Harrison Ford Creaks...maybe 15 years ago. How bout "Indiana Jones, and the North Koreans of not-very-niceness." or "Indiana Jones, and the Nose-Hair Clippers of Mesostopheles." or "I.J., and the Broken Hip of Doom" or "I.J., and the Rest-Home of Despair(with cameos of Elvis, and JFK-anyone see "Bubba Ho Tep"?)" oh-I know "I.J., and the Heartbreak of Psoriosess" "I.J., and the Dentures From Hell" or "I.J., and the Embarassment of Incontanance" ok last one..."I.J., and the Enraged Prostate" Maybe 15 years ago.

Just because you suffer from those maladies doesn't mean Harrison Ford does.

I hadn't watched Raiders of the Lost Ark in a while, so yesterday I put it on again, and childhood memories of innocent, lazy summer afternoons came flooding back. In some ways, Raiders has been surpassed as an action film, but it still holds up well.
I hope Lucas and Spielberg gives us a Raiders kind of Indy Jones movie, and not a Temple of Doom kind. Please leave the nasty stuff at the door, Mr. Spielberg. The Last Crusade almost made up for the darkness of Temple, but you know, I never really warmed to the idea of having Indy's dad along for the ride, though Connery and Ford made for an amusing pair.
Honestly, I wish Lucas and Spielberg would just stop trying to sign on Connery. After all, the success or failure of an Indiana Jones movie shouldn't depend on the presence of James Bond.

I would say I'm a die hard Indiana Jones fan and even I didn't like Temple of Doom nearly as much as the other two films. I agree, ram. Lets have a film more in tune with what we all really like about the Indiana Jones character. I realize the film is set in the 1950s with cold war overtones, which may do well to replace Indy's issues with Nazis. I dunno. If Last Crusade wasn't the last Indy film then I hope Indy 4 will be a fitting last adventure. BTW. Connery has officially turned down Lucas and won't appear in Indy 4.

It's hard to believe that Indy 4 is a mere couple of weeks away from release. It's like I want to pinch myself to make sure it's all real. It's been a 19-year wait. It struck me that this hiatus in between Indy films exceeds the gap between, say, 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) and 2010 (1984). That's crazy! I watched Harrison Ford on the Tonight Show, and he looked pretty fit. Sure, some of us like to joke about Indy's age now, but that's a petty thing to focus on, considering Ford's great shape. I mean, he hasn't turned into a Marlon Brando. (Brando's dead, so I don't think I'm hurting his feelings here.)

Yeah, Ford look fine though in the clips he seems noticably more haggard than usual and of course they stuck with Harrison's current hair color. I've read some early reviews that suggest that this film may lack a necessary amount of tension to really make it pop. Apparently you never find yourself concerned for Indy's welfare. I mean we all know he's going to survive, that's a given but we're irrationally concerned none the less. I'm not too worried about it since I'm already a mortal lock to see the film regardless.
