aTOMiC here. My recording project Planetary was officially completed in December 2012 but it took a while for the album to be transmitted to online retailers like "Itunes" and "Amazon". PLANETARY is a collection of instrumental songs with our solar system and its planets as its theme. The concept was inspired by Gustav Holst famous symphonies The Planets which I have enjoyed for many years. Though Planetary's instrumental rock sound has little in common with Holst's classical style the themes are similar. PLANETARY takes the journey from Pluto to Mercury visiting every planet in between including an unexpected addition. Theia is the name of the theoretical proto-planet that may have collided with the Earth during the early formation of our solar system. The resulting impact is said to have sent a huge cloud of debris into Earth's orbit and over time finally coalesced to form Earth's moon and the song was inspired by the fate of the doomed planet. I took the time to create a Facebook page for the album. www.facebook.com/ThomasAllenCumminsI've also joined Reverbnation which is a networking site for independent musicians and fans. www.reverbnation.com/thomasallencumminsAnd thanks to Tim Kelley I also joined Soundcloud. soundcloud.com/thomas-cummins-3I also managed to throw together some stock space video and posted Pluto's Stepchildren on Youtube. youtu.be/Fnf_jvOHNYgThanks to everyone who helped and encouraged me during the making of the album. I couldn't have done it without you.
