I was there when they were filming. A mishap with a plane was left in the film. Not edited out.

There is so much going on during the film I expect it would be hard to notice. My only gripe with PH is that in a couple of scenes they used contemporary warships that were anchored at Pearl. Since I familiar with period warships it seemed a little clumsy to spend all that time and money on creating special effects that were painstakingly crafted and rendered to be authentic only to throw that out just because there were a few ships in the harbor they could use. On the other hand probably only people like me would notice. :-) Some of the bombed ships are actually mothballed Knox-class frigates, Ticonderoga Cruisers and Spruance-class destroyers, with the box launchers for anti-submarine rockets, known as ASROCs, visible. That technology was not available until the 1960s. By the way, the link above is to a spoof that is a cross between Pearl Harbor and Armageddon (two Michael Bay movies).
