I've found this type of thread in every other discussion forum I've seen so what the heck.
I'm reading Steven Erikson's "The Gardens of the Moon". I'm about 180 pages into the first book. I'm told its the slowest book of the series. Its not bad but it does take a little extra effort on my part to continue reading. I'm also re reading Stephen R. Donaldson's "Runes of the Earth". About halfway through that, preparing the way for the next book in the series.

othello? that sounds like what a transvestite hooker says when it's trying to pick up a john. "O thello!"

Asimov's Caves of Steel--A I believe I have the book but I've never read it. I use to go to used book stores and any paperbacks I happen to see by a familiar author I'd buy 'em. I've got a crap load of books I still haven't read. I hope I don't have to survive a nuclear war to have the time to read my books. Of course I'd just end up breaking my glasses.

LOL It's a great series. Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun and Robots of the Dawn are the three. There was a 4th one too, Robots and Empire, that I didn't really like. By pure coincidence, a pair of broken glasses features prominently in Caves of Steel. (Which is sorta an early sci-fi detective story.)

Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets. It's the book that the TV show Homicide was based on. Great read.

The problem with Pratchett is that you can never read just one...
The Truth.

Wizard & Glass. Arguably the best in the series. (You gonna join us in the King forum at the Watch when you're done?)
