Haha, you're right. I saw "Three" and thought you meant book three. That's what happens when you only give something half your attention. I liked The Wastelands. The wait between it and the next book was long though.

I've got a crap load of books I still haven't read. I hope I don't have to survive a nuclear war to have the time to read my books. Of course I'd just end up breaking my glasses. Solution: get corrective laser eye surgery before the Apocalypse happens! Then, friend, you'll be laughing...until sundown, anyway, when the mutant zombies and come out to play. But at least you'll be able to see the advancing horde with perfect vision. So, does non-fiction count here? If so, I'm currently reading The Making of Return of the Jedi. (Yeah, you can stop snickering now, thanks.) After all these years, I'm finally reading this thing. So far, it's actually very interesting. The book takes the form of a daily journal following the cast and crew as they try to remain calm and sane under the pressure of shooting a Star Wars movie. At the time, Jedi was the most complicated special effects movie ever attempted. Today, we take Star Wars and modern movie technology for granted, but reading this book makes me appreciate anew what a mammoth and risky undertaking Jedi was (as was Empire and A New Hope). Lucas and company were trying to do things that were way ahead of the curve of anyone else. In reading this book, one of the things I'm keen on are the insights from director Richard Marquand. Maybe from his comments I'll get a better sense of who was really in charge of the film - him or Lucas.

How much of Jedi was actually handled by Lucas behind the scenes. I have a need to know how and why Jedi turned out the way it did in comparison to Empire. I'll sleep better knowing the truth. :-)

Asimov's Caves of Steel--A I believe I have the book but I've never read it. I use to go to used book stores and any paperbacks I happen to see by a familiar author I'd buy 'em. I've got a crap load of books I still haven't read. I hope I don't have to survive a nuclear war to have the time to read my books. Of course I'd just end up breaking my glasses. Heh, I guess I'm the only one that caught the classic twilight zone reference there. And I am currently reading "Introduction to Civil 3D 2008"

I've have a ton of books to read but I seem to be in a holding pattern until FR and the next G.R.R. Martin book is completed. I've got to break the stalemate by just picking up a book. Any book!

Haha, to read a book, I first have to have it. Come to think of it, I don't think I've even seen one of his books here. I'm busy re-reading another d**n Pratchett.
